Description:
Body mass index (BMI) is an indirect measurement or indicator
of body fat level or fatness. BMI is based on a person's
weight and height. It calculated by taking weight and dividing
it by squared height. Child and teen weight status has four
categories depending on the calculated BMI value and percentile
ranking. The percentile ranking is based on the CDC BMI
for age growth charts.

Note: This calculator is for children and teens between the
ages of 2 and 20 years. BMI calculations for adults use a
different method.

Select units. Select
US/standard to use pounds and inches or metric to
use kilograms and meters.
2.
Select gender of child or teen.
Male for boys and female for girls.
3.
Enter birthday of child or teen.
Note, age is calculated in months and years. The age
result can be seen in the BMI Parameters under the
solution.
4.
Enter weight and height. Note, the
up and down steppers can be used to increment or decrement
weight and height.
5.
Inspect calculations and results
in parameters, charts and graphs.
